About us

Comic Con Arabia (CCA) is the major pop culture event in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. A two-day festival that gives geeks a chance to geek about everything pop culture related. Showcasing comic books, manga, anime, film, television, science fiction, video games, collectibles, and popular entertainment activities like cosplay.

The first edition of Comic Con Arabia was the first-ever mixed-gender event in Riyadh. It gathered more than 24,000 fans. Its prime international guest is Jason Momoa, a.k.a Aquaman, from DC Universe. It also featured voice artists from top animes like Naruto, Dragon Ball, Fullmetal Alchemist, and many more. Additionally, there were different workshops, like costume workshops by expert Marvel costume creator Christopher Donio. Due to immense success, even during the pandemic Comic Con Arabia moved to a virtual space and eComic Con Live (ECCL) happened! All the fans love about Comic Con was available online – from panel discussions to workshops – and it kicked off with the cosplay competition bringing celebrity judges like Michael ‘Knightmage’ Wilson, Cavin Lam, and Sakura Flor.

After the removal of the restriction Comic Con Arabia, with its extraordinary comeback, took place in Jeddah. A mix of focus on comics, sci-fi, and films or series with guests from famous TV shows such as Alexander Ludwig from Vikings and Itziar Ituno from La Casa de Papel. It also put a Samurai artist, in the spotlight and performed his artistry. Of course, the cosplay competition and eSports took over the last day of the latest edition of Comic Con Arabia. The pop culture event that garnered over 50,000 fans is returning to Riyadh, promising a bigger spectacle than its successful comeback in Jeddah!

As one of the most anticipated events in the Kingdom’s calendar, Comic Con aims to bring together thousands of enthusiasts to celebrate their shared interests. Keep the goal of developing a platform to highlight local talents, welcome international artists, and connect fans to creators bridging the gap between popular culture and Saudi Arabia’s lifestyle.
